GREEN STATEMENT
Lead in electronic products has come under increased
regulatory scrutiny due to the growing number of electronic
products requiring end of life treatment and disposal.
Additionally, global concerns regarding human health and
environmental risks associated with hazardous substances has
led the European Union to enact the Directive on the
Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)
which limits the use of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent
Chromium, Polybrominated biphenyls or Polybrominated
diphenyl ethers in electronic products. This directive took
effect on July 1, 2006.
Energy consumption is one of
the leading drivers of operating expenses for both fixed and
mobile network operators. Reliable access to electricity is
limited in many developing countries that are currently the
high-growth markets for telecommunications. At the same
time, many operators have adopted corporate social
responsibility initiatives with a goal of reducing their
networks' carbon footprints, and network infrastructure
vendors are striving to gain competitive advantage by
reducing the power requirements of their equipment.
Many telecom companies have
committed to carbon reduction plans, the planned growth in
the coming years will mean an increasing reliance on “green”
wireless network equipment.

“Octo-Wireless ships products and solutions that meet or
exceed industry standards and comply with the European RoHS requirements
thus creating environmentally friendly technology advanced
green products”
